Cyber fraudsters cheat two of Rs. 53 lakh on the pretext of a part-time job

HYDERABAD: A man and a woman have allegedly been cheated of Rs. 53 lakhs in two different cases on the pretext of providing a part-time job opportunity in Hyderabad.
According to the complainants, the fraudsters involved in cheating first sent the link to the victims in WhatsApp messenger promising that they would be provided a part-time job.
The victims who had opened the link completed the task assigned by the fraudsters and received the payment. However, the fraudsters after gaining the trust of the victims convinced them to invest in large amounts and duped a man from Hyderabad of Rs. 48 lakh and a woman from Ram Nagar of Rs 5 lakh respectively.
The victims have lodged a complaint with the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police, who have registered a case and started an investigation.
