HYDERABAD: Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Stephen Raveendra has underscored the need for strict implementation of the guidelines of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Raveendra conducted a training session on electoral offences and maintenance of MCC and electoral offenses related to Assembly elections with all the police officials of Cyberabad Commissionerate on Wednesday.
Legal advisor Evuri Ramulu reiterated the legal provisions to be followed against the violators of MCC. He also discussed several sections of the Representation of Peoples Act, Indian Penal Code, Hyderabad City Police Act , MV Act and Preventive measures.
DCP Crimes Kalmeshwar Shingenevar informed the procedure to be followed to register the cases against the offenders in coordination with FST, SST and ROs.
