Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra, Ramesh Kaza, SCSC, and other senior police officers held an interactive meeting on Friday
HYDERABAD: Cyberabad police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra on Friday said that IT firms in collaboration with the police, should come up with solutions that would pave the way for employees to spend the least amount of time on the road.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra, Ramesh Kaza, Secretary General of Society For Cyberabad Security Council(SCSC), and other senior police officers held an interactive meeting on Friday with some of the largest IT and ITes organisations about adopting efficient efforts to streamline traffic.
Speaking at the interaction, Stephen Raveendra said “Cyberabad Police is proactive in many ways and this is an important meeting, as we would like to take inputs from the industry and arrive at steps acceptable to the industry which would pave the way to a situation where in employees need to spend least amount of time on road – either to reach office or home.
"Some of the suggestions came from the industry are staggered timings of log-ins and log-outs, even out the employee attendance on all the working days, instead of too much loads Tuesday to Thursday, leading to stretching middle of the week, encouraging car pool as a concept, customer facing employees spending time at office at 60 percent of the time and balance time continue to log-in at home etc, " he added.
Ramesh Kaza, in his address, said that SCSC has been playing a pivotal role in organising this kind of interactive sessions and requested the organisations to explore different methods to cut down the number of four-wheelers entering and leaving the IT Corridor by resorting to car pooling, non-customer roles to work from home or partial attendance, early log-ins and early log-outs, and he has also requested large IT parks to start working as a nodal point for providing transportation to reduce private vehicles.
Stephen Raveendra thanked the Industry for attending the meeting, and the meeting was attended by representatives of Cap Gemini, Cognizant, TCS, HSBC, JP Morgan, Deloitte, ICICI Bank, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Virtusa, Hysea, and other organisations.
