HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad Police will be unveiling a spectacle in the sky with a Drone Show on the occasion of “Suraksha Diwas” as part of the 21-day celebrations of decennial celebrations of Telangana Formation Day on Sunday.
The skies above the placid waters of Durgam Cheruvu would be lit up with breathtaking view of the drone show.
Commissioner of Cyberabad police M Stephen Raveendra told NewsTAP on Saturday that 400 drones would create a magical view in the sky, past 7.30 pm. This would be the first of its kind show in Telangana.
The drones would fly at a height of 200 metres to create the show.
What shapes they would present and from where all are the drones coming ?
The drones would make key formations depicting Telangana Government’s various policies and the initiatives of the Police department. The drones were built by an Indian startup, Botlab Dynamics, an IIT Delhi startup.
The event is open to general public, invitees and dignitaries.
Why is the drone show being organised? What’s its purpose? The Commissioner said that the objective of the drone show was to organise a rare entertainment show on ‘Suraksha Day’ and create first ever drone show experience for the people of Telangana, highlighting Telangana Government’s and also the Police initiatives.
Have any special decks been set up for the operators to stand fly the drones ?
A special ‘drone launchpad’ was made ready and several hundreds of staff were working on the preparations for over a week.
Its an automated ‘Swarm of Drones’ and no single operator would be required to operate the individual drones.
The city’s skies will be lit up and the denizens are raring to go and experience the splendour.
