HYDERABAD: Drogo Drones CEO Yashwant Bonthu on Friday announced plans to provide emergency medical services alongside air taxi services. He elaborated on the company's future plans in a statement released on Friday following the signing of an agreement with IFFCO for spraying insecticides across 30 lakh acres nationwide and receiving permission from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for the Krishi 3 drone, which offers extensive services in the agricultural sector.

Bonthu said that Drogo Drones would expand its services to include surveying, mapping, product transportation, and other sectors. He said preparations were underway to establish a drone service hub in key district headquarters nationwide, followed by mandal centers.

The latest Krushi 3 Pro drone from Drogo Drones can spray pesticides over four acres on a single charge, remaining airborne for 24 minutes when fully loaded with pesticides and 42 minutes when empty. Until now, drones in the country could only spray pesticides over two acres on a single charge.

With the new drone, farmers can potentially increase their yield by 80 percent, spraying pesticides over 30 to 35 acres per day. Farmers familiar with operating conventional drones can also operate the Krishi drone, equipped with efficient pesticide-spraying nozzles, overflow sensors, and a system for alerting any issues during flight. Drogo Drones has entered into an agreement with IFFCO to spray pesticides over 30 lakh acres in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Karnataka, and other states using their newly introduced drones. Yashwant said that farmers can access drone services at a reduced cost with the latest technology.

Drogo Drones also plans to invest in establishing drone service hubs nationwide and training 1000 drone operators. The company is incorporating AI technology to enhance its services, aiming to achieve a revenue of 200 crores for the next year.
