ED conducts searches at Kavitha’s kins' residences in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Teams of the Enforcement Directorate conducted searches at the residences of close relatives of MLC K Kavitha who was arrested in the Delhi Liquor Scam case and kin of her husband Anil Rao in Hyderabad on Saturday.

A team of ED reached the residence of Akhila, sister-in-law of Kavitha at DSR homes in Madhapur around 6.45 am on Saturday. Akhila lived in A block on the third floor. Unconfirmed reports said that many other ED teams also searched the homes of Anil Rao’s relatives in Hyderabad.

ED raids on Saturday's early hours in Hyderabad gained prominence as the custody of K Kavitha given to ED ended on Saturday and the MLC was planning to file for bail at the trial court as per the directions of the Supreme Court.
