Elderly woman hacked to death by maid with help of car driver in Domalguda

HYDERABAD: An elderly woman was brutally killed by a maid and car driver at her residence at Gaganmahal Radha Madan Niwas in Domalguda of Hyderabad

The elderly woman , Snehalatha Devi, aged 61, was living with her husband, Mahesh Kumar and son, Pawan Kumar, who are running a plywood business in Goshamahal.

While the father-son duo went to work and Snehalatha was alone at home, the housemaid tied the latter's hands and feet and stole cash and gold ornaments from the house.

Snehalatha was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Hyderguda after the police received information; however, she was confirmed dead by the hospital authorities. The Domalguda police believe that the incident occurred around two o'clock in the afternoon and are currently collecting details with the help of the clues team at the crime scene.

The police suspect that the car driver, Mahesh, hailing from Bihar who had joined them two months ago, might be involved in the crime. Meanwhile, Gandhinagar ACP K Ravi Kumar Domalguda CI Srinivas Reddy are examining the incident and overseeing the investigation.
