HYDERABAD: The Task Force team of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) conducted inspections at the Blinkit Warehouse in Devar Yamjal, Medchal Malkajgiri district on Thursday.

The task force team discovered several lapses at the Blinkit Warehouse in Medchal-Malkajgiri, which purportedly promised delivery of goods within 10 minutes. The team was shocked to find the premises disorganised, unhygienic, and dusty, particularly the storage racks.

There were no Fostac trainees available, and the food handlers were observed without headgear, gloves, and aprons. Additionally, the medical fitness certificates of food handlers were missing, and cosmetic products were improperly stored alongside food items.

The license of Whole Farm Congruence Trade and Services Pvt Ltd did not comply with the FSS Act regarding the address mentioned on the label. A notice will be sent regarding this issue. Products manufactured by Kamakshi Foods with expired licenses were seized, including VSR products such as Suji, Raw peanut butter, Maida, Poha, Besan, and Bajra, valued at Rs. 30,000.

Suspected infested products, including Whole Farm Ragi flour and Toor dal worth Rs. 52,000, were seized, and samples were sent to the lab for testing. The team said that notices would be issued to the relevant authorities, and further action would be taken accordingly.
