HYDERABAD: After inspecting several restaurants in Hyderabad, the Task Force team of the Commissioner of Food Safety conducted inspections at oil re-packing units in the Katedhan area of Hyderabad.

The team conducted inspections at Bhagyanagar Oil Refineries, Kedia Agro, and Ambica Oil Industries in the Katedhan area and found several violations.

Windows were found open to the outside environment without proper insect-proof screens, and doors were not closed to prevent entry of pests. Vehicles intended for transporting raw materials and finished goods were found without any valid FSSAI license.

Medical fitness certificates for food handlers, pest control records, cleaning schedule records for the premises, recall plan documents for the products, are not being maintained. Food material was not tested through the internal laboratory or any accredited laboratory (no records found). A technically qualified person is not employed by the FBO.

Headgear, gloves, and uniforms/aprons were not provided by the FBO. The true copy of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) license was not displayed by (1) and (2) at any prominent place in the premises. Improvement notices have been issued to the establishments.
