Four held for kidnapping Viskahapatnam MP family members, auditor

VISAKHAPATNAM: In a sensational incident, Visakhapatnam YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP MVV Satyanarayana’s wife, son and auditor were allegedly kidnapped by a group of rowdy sheeters from just outside their house at Rushikonda here on Thursday.

However, the police chased the kidnap mystery within a fours hours of the crime and rescued the family members of the MP and auditor from the miscreants. The police arrested four persons involved in the incident and identified KV Hemanth Kumar as the prime accused. Further details of the incident are awaited.

According to reports, the kidnappers broke into Satyanarayana’s house in Rushikonda and forcefully took his wife Jyothi and son Sarat Chandra into their custody. The miscreants then called auditor G Venkateswara Rao, living in Seethammadhara and also kidnapped him when he reached Rushikonda. The miscreants demanded Rs 50 crore from the MP’s family as a ransom.

Upon receiving the information about the incident, the police formed 17 special teams and traced the identity of the accused through mobile phone signals and rescued the family members of Satyanarayana. Satyanarayana, who was in Hyderabad at the time of incident, flew back to Visakhapatnam. Responding over the incident, Satyanarayana said that his family members were safe and unharmed.
