Gang making liquor from homeo medicine busted in Visakhapatnam

VISAKHAPATNAM: Bacchus smiled in Visakhapatnam. In a bizarre manner, a few persons were manufacturing liquor from a homoeopathy mother tincture Belladonna.

Though it’s derisively called “mandu” (meaning medicine) in colloquial Telugu, miscreants demonstrated their irnnivative skill to manufacture liquor from literally from a homeo medicine, Belladonna.

The city police busted the gang. With each bottle of Belladonna tincture, two quarter bottles of liquor was manufactured.

As many as 1052.10 litres of liquor was made to suffice 775 quarter bottles. The police said the original medicine was sourced from Odisha.
