GMR Hyderabad Airport wins ACI World's ‘ASQ Best Airport Award 2023’

HYDERABAD: GMR Hyderabad International Airport has been awarded the 'Best Airport in the 15 to 25 Million passengers per annum' in the Asia-Pacific region for 2023 in the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality survey.

ACI World's ASQ program is the leading global initiative measuring airport passenger satisfaction. Through real-time surveys with travelers, it benchmarks over 30 performance indicators, offering a comprehensive overview of the entire passenger journey.

ASQ Awards Highlights

• In 2023, over half of the world's travellers passed through an ASQ airport, underscoring the program's credibility and influence in shaping the standards for exceptional airport services.
• From 5,95,000 surveys collected in 2023, 170 ASQ Awards have been won by 90 airports around the world.
• Categories for departures include Best Airports by Size and Region, as well as Most Dedicated Staff, Easiest Airport Journey, Most Enjoyable Airport, and Cleanest Airport. For arrivals, the category is Top Airports Globally.

GMR Hyderabad International Airport has consistently led in terms of service and operational excellence. The airport has prominently secured its place among the Top 3 Global airports for nine consecutive years (2009 to 2017), holding the World No. 1 position four times in 2009, 2010, 2016, and 2017 in the 5 – 15 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) category in ACI- ASQ Awards. In 2018, it ranked World No. 4 in the 15 – 25 MPPA category and earned the title of 'Best Airport by Size and Region' in the Asia-Pacific region for both 2019 and 2020 in the 15-25 MPPA category. In 2022, it was recognised as the 'Best Airport by Size and Region' in the 15-25 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) category in the Asia-Pacific region.
