HMDA to make lakefront park near Hussain Sagar accessible to public from Sunday
The lakefront park would be open from 5 am to 11 pm and morning walkers would be allowed into the park between 5 am and 9 am every day
HYDERABAD: The lakefront park developed by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) on the banks of Hussain Sagar will be made accessible to the public in a full-fledged manner with nominal entry tickets from October 1, 2023.
Earlier this week, Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav inaugurated the lakefront park developed by the HMDA at an estimated cost of Rs 26.65 crore. The lakefront park would be open from 5 am to 11 pm. Morning walkers would be allowed into the park between 5 am and 9 am every day, for which they need to pay Rs 100 per month.
Denizens who are interested in organising birthday parties, get-together events and other cultural programmes with a capacity of upto 100 attendees could avail the facility by paying Rs 11,000 plus taxes for one day on prior booking. Apart from that, the Karachi bakery outlet and other outlets would also be made available between 9 am and 11 pm. The lakefront park near Jalavihar, PVNR Marg, is a new visitor centre for the general public.
