HYDERABAD: After assessing the traffic situation in the city, Hyderabad police on Tuesday imposed restrictions on the entry, movement, and idle parking of inter-district, national permit lorries, local lorries, medium-goods vehicles, private buses, and slow-moving vehicles in Hyderabad.
According to the latest notification issued by Hyderabad city police, the entry, plying, and idle parking of inter-district and national permits (heavy commercial vehicles) like trucks, trailers, and any other vehicle classified as N-3 or T-4 are prohibited throughout the day and night on the specified routes.
The entry, plying, and idle parking of local lorries and construction equipment vehicles (CEV) like trucks, trailers, RMC, and earth moving vehicles, as well as any other vehicle classified as N-3 or T-4, are prohibited during the day from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and allowed between 11 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the specified routes.
The entry, plying, and idle parking of medium-goods vehicles like DCM, Eicher, Swaraj Mazda, and any other vehicle classified as N-2 or T-3 are prohibited from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the specified routes.

Private buses would not be permitted to enter, exit, ply, or idle park on all the arterial roads of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The above restrictions do not apply to public transport buses operated by state road transport undertakings or buses operated by other government agencies (subject to conditions related to routes and timings of plying).
The entry and plying of slow-moving vehicles like hand carts, animal-driven vehicles, cycle rickshaws, power tillers and tractors, etc., are prohibited on the specified routes.
Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Carrying Vehicles with a gross vehicle weight exceeding two tonnes and up to six tonnes are prohibited from plying on all the arterial roads of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad from 9 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The movement of vehicles with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 10 tonnes is prohibited from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on all the arterial roads of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
Vehicles that violate the above notification issued by the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad likely to face severe consequences as per the law.
