HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police commissioner Sandeep Sandhilya has urged all officers to conduct elections in a free, fair, and firm manner during an election review meeting on Sunday. Neglecting their duties would result in severe disciplinary actions, he added.

Hyderabad police commissioner Sandeep Shandilya convened a meeting on Sunday with DCPs, Additional DCPs, ACPs, Inspectors of various zones, and the Task Force in view of the upcoming elections.

Sandeep Shandilya discussed the classification of Police Stations into A, B, and C categories and the sanctioned strength of each station during the meeting.

The discussion covered election preparedness, enforcement work, MCC violations, booking cases, Non-Bailable Warrant(NBW) execution, bound overs, arms deposit, rowdy sheeters, vulnerability mapping, critical polling locations, and Zonal Election Cell.

Law and order police were instructed to conduct upcoming elections peacefully and without prejudice, taking necessary strengthened actions if necessary.

All the officers were also instructed in accordance with the Model code of conduct and some doubts were clarified. The Task Force's performance over the past 15 days was reviewed during the meeting.

The 90 flying squads in 15 MLA constituencies of Hyderabad were instructed to perform their duties responsibly. Sandeep Sandhilya asked all officers to conduct elections in a 'free, fair, and firm' manner.

Vikram Singh Mann Addl.CP L&O, P.Vishwa Prasad, Addl.CP Special Branch were also present during the review meeting.
