HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad traffic police have implemented enhanced traffic restrictions in anticipation of the Hanuman Jayanti Yathra on April 23, 2024, aiming to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, prevent danger and inconvenience to the public, and facilitate proper traffic regulation during the procession.

The following traffic restrictions/diversions will be implemented, if necessary, along the procession route

On April 23, 2024, at 11:30 am, the main procession will commence from Gowliguda Ram Mandir and proceed to Hanuman Mandir Tadbund, Secunderabad via the following route: Gowliguda, Ram Mandir, Putlibowli ‘X’ roads, Andhra Bank ‘X’ roads, Koti, DM & HS, Sultan Bazar ‘X’ Roads, Ramkoti ‘X’ roads, Kachiguda ‘X’ roads, Narayanguda YMCA, Chikkadpally ‘X’ Roads, RTC ‘X’ roads, Ashok Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, backside Viceroy Hotel, Praga Tools, Kavadiguda, CGO Towers, Bansilalpet Road, Bible house, City Light Hotel, Bata Show Room, Ujjaini Mahankali Temple, Old Ramgopalpet PS, Paradise X Roads, CTO Junction, Lee Royal Palace, Brooke Bond, Imperial Garden, Mastan Cafe, then a left turn to Sree Hanuman Temple Tadbund.

The Hanuman Jayanti Vijaya Yathra procession covers a distance of 12 km and concludes at Hanuman Mandir Tadbund at approximately 8 PM.

Another procession originating from Karmanghat Hanuman Temple (under Rachakonda Commissionerate Jurisdiction) will enter Hyderabad City limits at Champapet and pass through Champapet X Rd, IS, Dhobhighat, Saidabad Y Junction (DCP South East Zone office), Saidabad Colony Road, Shankeshwar Bazar, then re-enter Rachakonda Commissionerate Limits at Saroor Nagar Tank before once again entering city limits at Rajiv Gandhi Statue, Dilsukhnagar. It will proceed through Moosaram Bagh Junction, Malakpet, Nalgonda X Road, Azampura Rotary, Chaderghat X Road, and finally join the Main Procession at DM&HS, Women’s Junction.

This tributary procession covers a distance of 10.8 km before joining the Main Procession at DM&HS Junction. During the procession, traffic will either be stopped or diverted at the locations specified below:

Suggested routes for travel between 9 a.m to 2 p.m

  • Commuters Coming from Lakdi ka pul intending to go towards Dilsukhnagar OR South Zone via Koti, Bank Street & Chaderghat are suggested to take route via Basheerbagh, Old MLA Quarters, Himayathnagar Y Junction, Narayanaguda fly Over, Barkathpura, Tourist Jn., Nimboliadda, Chaderghat Causeway, Nalgonda X roads.
  • Commuters Coming from Dilsukh Nagar intending go towards Mehdipatnam via Koti and DM&HS are suggested to take route via LB Nagar, Uppal, Tarnaka, Secunderabad OR via LB Nagar, Chandrayangutta, Aramghar, Attapur, Mehdipatnam.

Suggested routes for travel between 2 p.m to 7 p.m

  • Commuters coming from Lakdikapool towards Secunderabad Station or Uppal are suggested to take the route via VV Statue, Somajiguda, Greenlands, Begumpet Fly Over, Prakashnagar Fly Over, Paradise Flyover after getting down here commuters may take Left to JBS or Right to Sec’bad Station OR straight towards St. John Rotary for Uppal.

Citizens are requested to avoid the procession routes in the mentioned timings and advised to plan your commuting in the suggested routes.
