HYDERABAD: Giving a brief respite from the sweltering heat, cloudy weather descended upon the city skies on Sunday evening followed by scattered and isolated showers.
Scattered rains coupled with gusty winds lashed some places in Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Panjagutta, Ameerpet, SR Nagar. Kukatpally, Khairatabad, Abids, Kothi and Dilsukhnagar.
Telangana Weatherman T Balaji in his tweet expected isolated intense storms in Hyderabad mainly in the Khairtabad, Jubilee Hills, Panjagutta, Ameerpet, and Yosufguda sides of the city. “More such scattered storms to form till evening,” he tweeted.
On the other hand, the IMD forecasted that a partly cloudy sky and thunderclouds could develop towards Sunday evening or night in Charminar, Khaiaratabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad, and Serilingampally zones.
The state-wide weather forecast for the next five days also predicted that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning might occur at isolated places in Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagityal, Peddapally, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, and Sangareddy districts.
