Hyderabad’s famous Karachi Bakery’s Banjara Hills unit checked for food safety by GHMC
HYDERABAD: City’s famous bakery and confectionery Karachi Bakery came under cloud with it prestigious Banjara Hills branch drawing flak from some customers triggering an inspection by Food Safety team of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
Following a complaint, the assistant food controller of the GHMC on Saturday conducted an inspection in Karachi Bakery at Banjara Hills Road No. 1.
A team of officials headed by B Srivenaka, Food Safety Officer (FSO) of the Khairatabad Circle of GHMC, conducted an inspection of Karachi Bakery. During the inspection, the officials collected suspected samples and sent them to the laboratory for analysis. Later, the inspection report was submitted for further action.
Almost a week ago, Karachi Bakery in Hyderabad achieved global recognition as it secured the 29th position on Taste Atlas’ prestigious “150 Most Legendary Dessert Places in the World” list for 2023.
The fruit biscuits of the bakery brought laurels to the bakery, which has been satiating the taste buds of Hyderabadis and now in many locations across India and also some abroad.
