Ilaiyaraaja in Hyderabad: Not just listening to music, its experiencing magic

HYDERABAD: Legendry music composer, who composed songs for every generation to cherish in every situation, Maestro Ilaiyaraaja is all set to spread his magic of music with ‘Raaja’ live concert that is to happen in Gachibowli stadium on February 26.

Before the magical night, Ilaiyaraaja, the man himself, launched the promo of the event at T-Hub, which is being organised by event management company Hyderabad Talkies.

The Maestro, in his twitter account posted that the concert would be filled with his Telugu compositions. “Get ready for an upcoming “Telugu Concert” - Raaja Live in Concert on February 26th, 2023, at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad,” the Tweet read.

At the event, Maestro Ilaiyaraaja said, “Just like a mother tastes the food that she cooked and serves it with love, I listen to my compositions and serve music to the people with love. I am delighted to receive so much love from the people of Hyderabad and looking forward to perform for the people here.”

Telugu Singer Sunita, who attended the launch of the promo said, “I know how tough and at the same time overwhelming it is to sit here infront of God of music Ilaiyaraaja garu himself. His music should not be listened to, it must be experienced. Hyderabadis are lucky because he would be singing live for us. The air is going to be filled with his magic on February 26 and everyone must come and experience that.”

Principal Secretary of Telangana IT and Industries Department Jayesh Ranjan said, “I grew up listening to his songs and they are everything magical. The music suits every mood. Here in Telangana, the Government is also promoting cultural entrepreneurship. The concert would be a great experience for them as well to take inputs from legendary artsists.”
