IMD issues Yellow Heatwave alert for Telangana over next two days

HYDERABAD: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 'yellow warning', predicting heatwave conditions for the next two days across Telangana.
A warm night is likely to prevail at isolated places in the Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagital, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, and Peddapally districts of Telangana on March 31, 2024.
Heatwave conditions are very likely to occur in isolated pockets in the districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagital, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapally, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, and Mulugu on April 1, 2024.
A warm night is expected to prevail at isolated places in the Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagital, Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Peddapally, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, and Mulugu districts of Telangana on April 1, 2024.
Heatwave conditions are very likely to occur at isolated pockets in the districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagital Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapally, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, and Mulugu of Telangana on March 2, 2024.

Telangana Weatherman T Balaji said, "Heatwaves are likely to prevail from April 2-6, 2024 across Telangana. Temperatures will cross 42°C in Hyderabad and 43-44°C in Adilabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Wanaparthy. Heatwaves peak effect on April 4, 5 and 6 whereas some heat induced storms were too likely in some parts of Telangana."
