IPL 2023: Aiden Markram to succeed Kane Williamson as SRH captain
The IPL 2023 is scheduled to start from March 2023 and the final is scheduled in May 2023
HYDERABAD: Former Under-19 Captain of the South African Cricket team and an outstanding all-rounder Aiden Markram has been chosen as the captain of ‘Sunrisers Hyderabad’ for 2023.
Sunrisers Hyderabad represents Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Markram would be succeeding New Zealand cricketer Kane Williamson, who played as the captain of SRH for IPL 2022. Williamson would be playing for defending champions Gujarat Titans in this season. Australian Cricketer David Warner also previously led the Sunrisers.
The IPL 2023 is scheduled to start from March 2023 and the final is scheduled in May 2023.
The Hyderabad-based franchise announced Aiden Markram’s appointment on Twitter by sharing a video with the caption: “THE. WAIT. IS. OVER. #OrangeArmy, say hello to our new captain Aiden Markram.”
The 28-year-old had a successful IPL season last year scoring 381 runs for SRH. He was at an average of 47.63 with three half-centuries.
