HYDERABAD: Tollywood hero 'Young Tiger' Junior NTR on Sunday said that he was lucky to have been born on the soil that gave birth to legendary N T Rama Rao and vowed to carry his legacy into future.
On the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of the iconic actor and the patriarch of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), many celebrities including Balakrishna, Junior NTR and Rajendra Prasad paid their tributes at NTR Ghat in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Jr NTR recalled his memories when NTR was alive and said that he was very lucky to take birth at a place where the Legendary actor was born. Stating that NTR had treated people as Gods, NTR said that he too felt the same besides treating his grandfather as his Guru. He said that he was indebted to his grandfather and opined he would have worshipped the legendary actor’s feet with flowers of gold had he been alive.
The RRR actor recalled that NTR used to get angry whenever anybody spoke on caste lines and expressed joy over the way the centenary celebrations of NTR were held across the globe and the way the Telugu people paid tributes to the stalwart on this occasion.
Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad, who also paid tributes to NTR in Hyderabad, said that it was their responsibility to take the legacy of NTR to future generations.
