Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath’s PA booked for assaulting man

HYDERABAD: Madhuranagar police booked a case against Bhaskar the personal assistant of Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath for allegedly assaulting a person.

In a video that became viral on social media, Bhaskar and another person later identified as Lalith could be seen beating a person mercilessly. The victim who was profusely bleeding, begged for mercy but the duo continued beating him while others kicked him repeatedly. Someone standing nearby recorded the whole sordid saga on their mobile phone.

Taking the video into cognizance the police booked a suo motu case and started investigating. Madhuranagar police said that the incident occurred near Yousufguda and they took Bhaskar, Lalith and one more person into custody.

The victim was rushed to Gandhi Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Few other reports named the victim as Chandu, a BRS party activist, but police have yet to confirm his name.
