'Kidnapped' BJP leader tracked down in Vijayawada

HYDERABAD: BJP leader M Tirupathi Reddy, who went missing from the Tahsildar office in Alwal on July 13, was reportedly tracked down in Vijayawada on Tuesday. Multiple teams of Cyberabad Police, who have been on a manhunt for the last five days, have escorted him to the Medchal DCP office where he met his family members. The exact details of his disappearance and whether he went missing or was he kidnapped has still not been disclosed yet.
Tirupathi Reddy is a prominent real estate businessman. After his mysterious disappearance, his wife Sujatha accused Malkajgiri MLA Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao of hatching a plan to kidnap Reddy. Sujatha mentioned that her husband and Hanumantha Rao were embroiled in an ownership dispute over 5,929 yards of prime land and that Hanumantha Rao's associates were directly involved in the kidnap.
BJP and BJYM cadres came out in the family’s support and demanded Reddy’s immediate rescue from the kidnappers. Reddy, who hails from Dubbakuntapalli village in Jangaon district, resides in Kushaiguda in the city.
