KTR announces Rs.10 lakh each exgratia for bereaved families of two deceased in Khammam
Minister KTR here on Thursday announced an exgratia of Rs.10 lakh each to the bereaved family members of the two persons who died in the LPG cylinder explosion incident.
HYDERABAD: Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao here on Thursday announced an exgratia of Rs.10 lakh each to the bereaved family members of the two persons who died in the LPG cylinder explosion incident on Wednesday.
He announced ex gratia after calling on the injured persons at NIMS in Punjgutta. Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and MP Nama Nageswara Rao accompanied Rama Rao. He said necessary measures would be taken to ensure proper employment for the injured persons.
Of the total injured persons, two of them were undergoing surgery and the State government would bear the hospital expenditure.
The incident took place at Singareni Colony in Cheemalapahad near Karepalli in Khammam district on Wednesday. The cylinder exploded in a hut when the BRS activists were bursting firecrackers during ‘Atmeeya Sammeelanam’ organized in the district.
Eight persons suffered injuries in the incident. A few persons, who were near the hut, lost their limbs due to the impact of the explosion. The hut was completely gutted in the incident. A couple of media persons were among those who were injured in the incident
