HYDERABAD: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) strongly condemned the opportunist Congress Government's attitude towards the unemployed and the police crackdown on the unemployed, student union leaders, and hundreds of students who are demanding jobs.

KTR said that the students wanted to protest peacefully at the TGPSC office here on Friday. He said that they were trying to convey their demands to the Government on issues such as job recruitment, problems in group notifications, and the job calendar.

The former Minister said that the Congress party, which organised several protest programmes with the same unemployed people before the elections, was now suppressing them after it came to power. “They used the unemployed to stir up emotions just before the elections. Now the Congress Government, which repeatedly misused the name of people's rule, was acting in a dictatorial manner by not even giving the youth and students a chance to protest,” KTR noted.

KTR said that the dates of the job calendar given by the Congress party had expired and demanded the release of the job calendar immediately. He assured that BRS would support all the protest activities of the unemployed. He demanded the release of student leaders who were arrested on Friday unconditionally.
