KTR inaugurates IDL Lake Front park in Kukatpally
This famous lakefront location is poised to become a major leisure destination, attracting more people
HYDERABAD: Telangana Municipal Administration Minister K.T. Rama Rao inaugurated the Lake Front park developed at the Rangadhamuni Cheruvu (IDL Lake) in Kukatpally on Thursday.
Rangadhamuni Lake, also known as IDL Lake, was developed on 46.24 acres near Kukatpally and boasts ample seating space and distinctive light fixtures.This famous lakefront location is poised to become a major leisure destination, attracting more people.
The lake's renovation had been undertaken by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority(HMDA) at a cost of Rs 9.80 crores, with features like pathways with paver blocks, cobble stone, granite flooring on the main bund, stepped, cubical Seating, sculptures, lighting, and toilet block and softscape on the main bund.
The civil works were done at a cost of Rs.7.6 Crores, while the landscaping work cost Rs.38.52 Lakhs. The lake, near Mumbai National Highway, is a popular relaxation zone for nearby residents, attracting a large crowd for evening relaxation on the main bund along with hawkers and food carts.
