An exceptionally rendered 10-minute documentary demonstrating the grandeur of the martyrs who shed their lives in the history of the revolution from 1969 until Statehood
HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday unveiled 'Amara Jyothi', a documentary on the sacrifices of Telangana martyrs.
An exceptionally rendered 10-minute documentary demonstrating the grandeur of the martyrs who shed their lives in the history of the revolution from 1969 until Statehood.
KTR said that the documentary would explain the way of the youth who sacrificed their lives to inspire the people to struggle and counter attack the conspiracies of forces that opposed Statehood for Telangana. "It is a must-watch for everyone from Telangana," he said and congregated its writer and MLC Deshapati Srinivas, and director Badavat Purnachander for their efforts in bringing out the documentary.
KTR stressed the need to bring more such documentaries. He also unveiled two books, 'Nadaka', a collection of essays authored by Telangana Vikasa Samithi general secretary Errozu Srinivas, and another book 'Kasuvu', written by Dr Gade Venkatesh on environmental sanitation issues.
The IT and Industries Minister lauded Srinivas for his analysis of decades of Telangana progress through his book 'Nadaka'. The book Kasuvu mentioned very rare things and there were no books that comprehensively discussed the history of sanitation in Telangana and the progress made in the municipal department.‘Kasuvu’ had filled that gap, he added.
Sahitya Akademi chairman Juluru Gowrishankar, Telangana Digital Media Director Konatham Dileep, noted journalist Parankusham Venugopala Swamy, renowned story writer Peddinti Ashok Kumar, poet Taidala Anjaiah, senior journalist Asari Raju and others were also present.
