Land dispute: Banjara Hills Police register case against Kodangal MLA Patnam Narender Reddy

HYDERABAD: The Banjara Hills Police filed a complaint against Kodangal MLA Patnam Narender Reddy on Sunday, as directed by a court, over a land dispute.

According to reports, the MLA allegedly compelled Sama Indrapal Reddy, the victim, to purchase the land and made false promises that cost him money. The complainant was scared for his life because the accused parties have reportedly demanded Rs 2.5 crore in cash immediately.

Besides Patnam Narender Reddy, two other accused, Y Sriram Reddy and Rakesh Reddy, and Patnam Narender Reddy, tricked the victim, Sama Indrapal Reddy, into acquiring the land with false promises.

The additional chief metropolitan magistrate directed that judicial proceedings be initiated under Section 342 (wrongful confinement of a person), following a complaint by the victim.
