LB Nagar police arrest fake protocol officer of Telangana CMO
The accused was identified as Praveen Sai, a resident of Vanasthalipuram in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: The LB Nagar Police on Saturday arrested a person for deceiving the people and committed frauds in the name of protocol officer in the publicity cell of Telangana Chief Minister's office. The police also seized an SUV, mobile phone and letter heads from him.
The accused was identified as Praveen Sai, a resident of Vanasthalipuram in Hyderabad. He committed frauds by promising jobs, resorted to land settlements and re-assignment of assigned land and duped the people in the name of protocol officer, the police said.
The police investigation revealed that Praveen Sai was also involved in providing fake stickers of Chief Minister’s protocol to many people besides ensuring double bedroom houses and giving fraudulent job offers using the letterheads of the Home Minister and other Ministers. Praveen was involved in such illegal activities and deceived several people in the last six months. A case was registered and further investigations were underway into the matter, the police added.
