Leverage ward offices to effectively address public issues; KTR tells BRS corporators
Three days ahead of the launch of the ward offices in Hyderabad, BRS Working President KTR met his party corporators in the GHMC at Pragati Bhavan
HYDERABAD: Three days ahead of the launch of the ward offices in Hyderabad, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) met his party corporators in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) at Pragati Bhavan on Tuesday.
KTR instructed the corporators to take the welfare programmes of the BRS government to the people and work for the development of Hyderabad city. Speaking about the GHMC Ward Offices, which will be inaugurated on June 16, 2023 as part of the decennial celebrations of Telangana State formation, KTR said that this was a unique initiative, never seen before in the country.
Expressing confidence in its potential to bolster the governance under the aegis of the civic body, KTR encouraged the corporators to actively utilise this system to effectively address public issues. He told the corporators that, as an extension of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s vision, new districts, revenue divisions, mandals and gram panchayats were formed to take the government programmes and services to the doorsteps of people.
“Similarly, ward offices will aid in taking the civic services closer to people. The initiative will strengthen good governance and corporators can foster closer interactions with the public by providing more services,” advised KTR.
He asked the corporators to invite presidents of resident welfare associations and prominent people in their ward limits for the inauguration of the offices. The BRS Working President asked the corporators to strengthen the party while taking government programmes to the people. He asked them to actively participate in the party’s meetings. KTR expressed confidence that the party would win the upcoming elections.
The meeting was attended by Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, MLCs Naveen Rao, Shambipur Raju, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and other senior party leaders.
