Neurosurgeon flees after accident, leaves injured patient with unsettled hospital bill

HYDERABAD: In a bizarre incident in the Bollaram area of the city, a renowned neurosurgeon named Kartik from a prominent city hospital struck a young man named Syed Pasha in a careless driving incident. Instead of fulfilling his responsibility, Kartik fled the scene, prompting local residents to chase him down.

After catching the doctor, he not only pledged to provide medical treatment to the injured Pasha in his hospital but also transported him to a medical facility in the Attapur area. Subsequently, Kartik vanished from the hospital without settling the bill, leaving Pasha's family shocked. The family believed Pasha was receiving the promised treatment in Kartik's hospital.

Upon learning about the incident which occured on Wednesday, Pasha's family faced a double shock - not only did the accused doctor escape without paying the hospital bill, but Pasha's condition also worsened, leading to additional distress for the family. The hospital management has been pressuring the family to settle the outstanding bill.

Amidst this unusual situation, the injured and his family found themselves grappling with financial difficulties. Family members of the injured assert that local residents apprehended the doctor and handed him over to the police. However, the police reportedly released him, exacerbating the family's frustration.

It is not yet clear whether or not the Bollaram Police registered a case against the accused doctor.
