NewsTAP story on Telangana Express timing causes buzz on 'X'

HYDERABAD: A lot of buzz was created on microblogging platform 'X' on NewsTAP's story about the delay of Telangana Express from Hyderabad to New Delhi on August 28, 2023 while different stakeholders responded taking the people's concern highlighted by NewsTAP to the knowledge of senior railway authorities, senior divisional commercial manager of Secunderabad division clarified that the app pertained to railways.

However, the pertinent question here is: " When so many private unauthorised apps are being thrown as suggestions at the top of Google search how can people know which is an authorised one? Isn't it the responsibility of the ministry of Indian railways or Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to authorise the official app with some indication for popular knowledge that a particular app is the one that should be referred for knowing the train timings."
