HYDERABAD: Rains would be delayed and there were chances of fire mishaps in Telangana. All would be good and the divine would take care of all with prosperity, predicted the Goddess's oracle Matangi Swarnalatha during the Rangam programme, a ritual performed as part of the Bonalu festival at the century-old Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad on Monday.
Standing on an earthen pot inside the temple premises, Swarnalatha invoked the Goddess and performed the Rangam in the presence of Minister for Animal Husbandry T Srinivas Yadav. The soothsayer said that she was happy with the rituals performed by the devotees to her and accepted them happily without any issues.
“There will be good rainfall but it will fluctuate a little. Fire accidents will also happen and it's my responsibility to protect my devotees from all troubles and see that no harm is done to anybody,” she said.
The oracle asked women devotees to worship her for five weeks with utmost devotion by offering prasadams and said that she would protect them from all the hurdles.
Meanwhile, thousands of devotees made a beeline to the Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad to hear the prediction from Matangi Swarnalatha and offered special prayers to Goddess Mahankali.
