As part of it, six new buildings will come up at Ferozguda, Suchitra Centre, Bhudevinagar, Ammuguda, Neredmet, and Moula Ali Housing Board stations.
Doubling and electrification of Sanathnagar-Moula Ali will pave the way for the introduction of passenger trains for the first time in this section. It will reduce the burden on the highly saturated Secunderabad-Moula Ali and Secunderabad-Lingampalli sections.
It will also help in reducing the detention of trains; and improve punctuality and average speed of the trains. Earlier, the Sanathnagar-Moula Ali section was a single line open to only freight trains. Now, not only the section is doubled and electrified but the whole section is being opened to handle passenger traffic as well.
As part of doubling and electrification, six new station buildings have also been developed in the section which will be able to handle passenger traffic. All the newly opened MMTS stations have been provided with modern passenger amenities, high-level platforms, foot-over bridges, and platform shelters. The six stations are Ferozguda, Suchitra Centre, Bhudevinagar, Ammuguda, Neredmet, and Moula Ali HB Colony.

The MMTS train service from Ghatkesar – Lingampalli via Moula Ali-Sanathnagar extends the popular suburban train service in the Hyderabad-Secunderabad twin city regions to new areas for the first time. It connects the new areas in the eastern part of the city, like Cherlapalli, and Moula Ali with the western part of the twin city region.
The introduction of the new MMTS service in these sections will provide the safest, fastest, and most economical modes of transport connecting the eastern with the western part of the twin city region. It will be particularly beneficial for students, small business people, and employees.
This train extends the jurisdiction of MMTS services in the suburban section of the Hyderabad-Secunderabad twin cities from the existing 90 km (44 Stations) to 123.52 km (53 Stations). It extends the MMTS train service beyond Secunderabad Station on the eastern side and connects it with the business and financial district hub in the western part.
The 48-km-long east-west corridor served by the train will connect the residential areas of Ghatkesar, Cherlapalli, Mallapur, Neredmet, ECIL, Suchitra, and Bhudevinagar with the Business and financial district of Hyderabad.
