HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Hyderabad on April 8 to lay the foundation stone for the various infrastructure projects worth Rs. 11,355 crore. Meanwhile, the state administration is making elaborate arrangements for the Prime Minister's Hyderabad tour as per the protocol.
According to the schedule, the Prime Minister will first visit Secunderabad Railway Station from Begumpet Airport to launch the 13th Vande Bharat train to run between Secunderabad and Tirupati followed by laying the foundation stone for the modernization works at the Secunderabad Railway Station at Rs. 715 crores.
As part of the modernisation works, the Secunderabad Railway station will be expanded to accommodate 3,25,000 passengers by increasing the total area from 11,427 square metres to 61,912 square metres along with the construction of a bridge with 108 metres length to establish the connectivity to all the platforms from the terminal building. It also provides connectivity to Secunderabad East and West Metro Stations and Rathifile Bus station.
Later, the Prime Minister will dedicate the 85-km-long doubling of railway lines and electrification works carried out at Rs. 1,410 crore between Secunderabad-Mahbubnagar to the nation and launch the 13 new MMTS services to run on the newly constructed railway lines taken up under the MMTS Phase-II.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address a public at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad and lay foundation stone for six national highway projects worth Rs 7,864 crore and development works to be carried out at AIIMS in Bibinagar with Rs 1,366 crore.
