Pravallika suicide case: Accused Shivaram Rathod gets bail on Rs 5,000 surety

HYDERABAD: The City Criminal Courts in Hyderabad granted bail to the Pravallika suicide case accused Shivaram Rathod on Saturday. The Court also imposed Rs 5,000 as surety.

Shivaram allegedly cheated Pravallika a student who staying at a hostel in Ashoknagar, Chikkadpally. The girl slipped into depression and died by suicide last Friday. Police who found details of Shivram in the WhatsApp chats took him into custody when he arrived at the Nampally courts to surrender.

However, the Court refused to accept the remand report of the accused and sought the police to release him. The counsel for Shivaram assured the Court that the accused would be presented before the Court for Remand on Saturday.
