Sale of spurious black pepper powder: Police arrest one person
The police seized large quantity of adulterated black pepper and apprehended one accused person. Vinod Kumar Gehlot of Joshiwadi in Begum Bazar Hyderabad was arrested.
HYDERABAD: After fake ginger-garlic paste units, the sleuths of task force of South-East Zone team, along with staff of Shahinayathgunj police station, on credible tip-off, conducted a raid on Vinod Trading Company, Fish Market, Begum Bazar who were selling adulterated black pepper illegally at exorbitant prices to needy customers.
The police seized large quantity of adulterated black pepper and apprehended one accused person.

1). Adulterated black pepper mixed with papaya seeds – 700 Kg approximately
(Worth of Rs. 4,00,000)
The accused Vinod Kumar Gehlot has a family business of whole sale kirana items. He is running his shop named as Vinod Trading Company at Fish Market, Begum Bazar, Hyderabad and selling adulterated black pepper, which is mixed with papaya seeds, to his customers on market price. On enquiry,

Vinod Gehlot disclosed that he was buying adulterated black pepper from Mysore, Karnataka for low price and storing at his shop and selling to needy customers on market price and getting higher profits. These adulterated products are very harmful for health.
In this regard, a case was registered against accused person.
