HYDERABAD: Septuagenarian Dr Hariha’ran’ impressed and inspired everyone at the NMDC Marathon 2023i n the city.
According to photo journalist K Ramesh Babu, “Run is in his name. This 74-year-old man from Hyderabad participated in 250 marathons. He took to running at the age of 59 years. In the past 15 years, he has achieved many milestones. He is second Indian for running in seven continents. This elderly man eats, breathes, sleeps running.“
A whopping 11,000-odd participants enriched the health consciousness among people of Hyderabad.
People from different states took part in the the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) 10K Run on Sunday. The event, organised by Hyderabad Runners Society (HRS) along with IDFC First Bank is an annual event in the city.
The event was divided into four categories — full marathon, half marathon, 10k run, and 5k run —passing through the arterial roads of the City.
The full marathon was inaugurated by City Police Commissioner C V Anand, while half marathon was inaugurated by GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose.
