Seven-year-old boy in Hyderabad adopts seven species of animals at Nehru Zoological Park

Inspired by his parents, both wildlife enthusiasts and animal lovers, Yuvaan decided to adopt these animals on the occasion of his seventh birthday

HYDERABAD: A 7-year-old boy in Hyderabad adopted seven species of animals at Nehru Zoological Park on Wednesday.

Yuvaan S Hiremanth adopted seven species of animals, including the African Lioness (Adishna), Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros (Nanda), Crocodile, Owl, Ostrich, Wolf, and Lion-tailed Macaque, for one month.

Inspired by his parents, both wildlife enthusiasts and animal lovers, Yuvaan decided to adopt these animals on the occasion of his seventh birthday. He, along with his parents, presented a cheque for Rs. 75,000 to the Director (FAC) and Curator of Nehru Zoological Park towards the adoption and welfare of these seven species.

Speaking with the Zoo officials, Yuvaan expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to adopt animals. He said that wildlife conservation is the responsibility of every citizen and encouraged children to take the initiative in wildlife conservation, urging parents to allocate funds for animal welfare.

Yuvaan expressed pride in becoming the adopter of seven animals on his 7th birthday, selecting them based on his preferences.

The Director (FAC) and Curator of Nehru Zoological Park congratulated and thanked Yuvaan S. Hiremath for adopting seven species of animals on his seventh birthday.

You can also adopt any animal at Hyderabad zoo for a period ranging from a single day to a maximum of one year, either through payment by cheque or through their website by making an online payment. An instant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) copy will be issued after the online payment.
