HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) has said that it is unfortunate that the steering wheel of the BJP is with Adani. On October 1, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had alleged that the steering wheel of the BRS is with the AIMIM.

Speaking during the foundation stone laying ceremony of a mega IT tower in Malakpet on Monday, KTR responded that, "While the steering wheel of the BRS is comfortably with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and MIM with Asaduddin Owaisi, it is unfortunate that the steering wheel of the BJP and the NDA is with Adani and is not with Modi anymore."

Citing instances about how Telangana has transformed into a peaceful city and has become a role model for the rest of the country after the formation of Telangana State, KTR said, "We get to hear about mob lynchings in the rest of the.country. But in Hyderabad and Telangana, there has never been an instance of violence in the name of religion in the last 9 years. In fact during Ganesh Chaturthi, our Muslim brothers in Hyderabad decided to postpone Milad-un-Nabi procession. That is an example of Ganga-Jamuna tehzeeb."

Will complete IT tower construction within 36 months: KTR

Shedding details about the IT tower in Malakpet KTR said, "This is a 11-acre project which will be constructed at a cost of Rs 700 crore. The buildings will occupy 15 lakh sq ft of which 5.5 lakh would be for IT. I will speak to companies like Microsoft, Adobe and Deloitte to setup their office here. Not less than 20,000-25,000 people will get jobs here."

The IT Minister also announced a slew of promises for Hyderabad saying, "We will build a skywalk connecting this IT tower to Malakpet metro station just like the one in Hitec City. We will also construct an expressway connecting the western part of Outer Ring Road (ORR) to the eastern part. All this will be done when we return to power in the next term.

"In the last two years, we have crossed Bengaluru in technology job creations in India. We are now the leader. Last year, 33 per cent of the total technology jobs in India came from Hyderabad which has been catapulted to 44 per cent. This is not my report but as per Nasscom," KTR added.
