HYDERABAD: Couple of days after being suspended from the Congress party, Kotha Manohar Reddy challenged Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy to take oath at the Bhagyalakshmi temple and prove that he did not take bribe for allocating MLA tickets for the upcoming Assembly elections in the State.

During an interaction with the media, Manohar Reddy on Friday alleged that Badangpet mayor Chigirintha Parijatha Narasimha Reddy had given a bribe of Rs 10 crore and registered 5 acres of land on Revanth Reddy's name as quid pro quo for the allocation of Maheshwaram constituency party ticket.

"Both Revanth Reddy and Narasimha Reddy should be suspended from the Congress party," demanded Manohar Reddy on Friday.

"When BJP leader Etela Rajender accused Revanth of taking Rs 25 crore bribe earlier this year, Revanth Reddy took oath at the Bhagyalakshmi temple denying the allegations. What is stopping him from doing the same now? If Revanth doesn't swear, people will believe that he indeed took a bribe to sell tickets," he added.
