Telangana Formation Day fete: Roads to avoid on June 4, 2023 in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad traffic police have imposed traffic restrictions in view of decennial celebrations of Telangana Formation Day (Telangana Rashtra Avatarana Dashaddi Utsavalu) on June 4, 2023 Telangana State Police is marking the day as Suraksha Dinotsavam.

The Telangana Police Department is organising a Patrol Cars/Blue Colt Rally, a Technology Exhibition at the Ambedkar Statue, a Women's Safety Carnival, and a Foot March to Charminar as part of the celebrations. Moderate traffic congestion is expected due to the large number of tourists and cars on the road.

Keeping this in consideration, various traffic restrictions would be implemented to ensure the smooth movement of ordinary commuting.Traffic diversions and road closures would be imposed if necessary from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Patrol cars/Blue Colts rally from Sanjeeviah park to Charminar and return from 6am to 12pm

Passing Junctions : Abids - MJ Market - SA Bazar - Afzalgunj - Nayapul - Madina - Pattargatti - Gulzar House - Charkaman - Charminar - Sanjeeviah Park - Budha Bhavan - Sailing Club - Childrens Park - Ambedkar Statue - Liberty - Basheerbagh - BJR Statue.

Traffic halts: While the march travels from Sanjeeviah Park to Charminar, traffic would be stopped for a short period of time at the following junctions/lanes.

Return route from Charminar to Sanjeeviah Park

Passing Junctions: Charminar – Gulzar House – Delhi Gate – Nayapul – Afzalgunj – SA Bazar – MJ Market – Taj Island – Nampally Rly Stn. – AR Petrol Pump - Ravindra Bharathi – Iqbal Minar – Telugu Thalli – NTR Marg – Rotary – Peoples Plaza – Sanjeevaiah Park.

Traffic Halts: While the Rally is passing from Charminar to Sanjeeviah Park the traffic will be stopped for a while at the following Junctions/Lanes en route to the rally.

The traffic will not be allowed on Tankbund from both sides and on to PVNR Marg from Buddha Bhavan / Nallagutta and Indira Gandhi Rotary from 6am to 2 pm. Following Traffic Diversions would be imposed as per local situation.

B.Technology Exhibition at Ambedkar Statue: Organizing the Street play on various themes like Traffic safety, anti-drug campaign, Cyber security, Women Safety, etc.

Women Police Safety Wing Carnival on Tank Band from 4pm to 9pm

During the carnival, traffic on Tank Bund from both sides would be prohibited and diverted to the following routes:

• Traffic coming from Liberty towards Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and diverted at Ambedkar statue towards Telugu Thalli, Iqbal Minar to embark on Telugu Thalli flyover.
• Traffic coming from Telugu Thalli towards Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and diverted at Ambedkar Statue towards Liberty, Himayathnagar.
• Traffic coming from Karbala Maidan towards Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and diverted at Sailing Club towards Kavadiguda DBR Mills - Lower Tank bund – Katta Maisamma Temple – Telugu Thalli Flyover.
• Traffic coming from DBR Mills towards Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and diverted at DBR Mills towards Ghosala – Kavadiguda – Jabbar Complex – Bible House.
• Traffic coming from Iqbal Minar towards Secunderabad will be diverted at Old Secretariat to embark on Telugu Thalli Flyover via Katta Maisamma – Lower Tankbund – DBR Mills - Kavadiguda.

Foot March from MJ Market to Charminar from 10m to 11pm

Passing Junctions : M.J. Market –Osmangunj – SA Bazar – Afzalgunj T Junction - Nayapul – Madina – Pattargatti – Gulzar House – Charkaman

Traffic Halts : While the Foot March is passing the traffic will be stopped for a while at the following Junctions/Lanes en route to the rally.
