Thief electrocuted while attempting theft from a house in Kompally in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A thief who broke into a house for robbery near St Antony School Road in Kompally under Pet Basheerabad police station limits in Quthbullapur mandal of Medchal Malkajgiri district died of electric shock.

According to police, the thief had entered into a house belonging to a tenant Sunitha for committing theft. However, the thief, who could not find any valuable things inside, tried to jump into the adjacent house in panic after hearing a loud noise.

In the process, the thief who didn't notice solar fencing to the compound wall was electrocuted to death by coming in contact with it.

Upon receiving information from Sunitha, the Pet Basheerabad police reached the place of the incident and found the body. They collected details as part of a preliminary investigation.

The police, who registered a case based on Sunitha's complaint, shifted the dead body to a hospital for post-mortem and started an inquiry to determine the identity of the thief.
