Three Sangareddy blast victims critical at Yashoda Hospital, Hyderabad
At least seven people lost their lives in a fire accident at a chemical factory on the outskirts of Chandapur village in Hathnoora mandal after a reactor exploded on Wednesday
HYDERABAD: Following the Sangareddy industrial blasts, three victims were admitted to the Yashoda Hospital HITEC city unit after the hospital received a CODE RED alert regarding the blast at a chemical plant in Sangareddy on Wednesday.
The three injured patients were promptly transported to Yashoda Hospital in HITEC city by ambulance from Sangareddy. The first patient, aged 34, sustained severe burn injuries to the left upper limb, multiple burns on the chest and legs, and penetrating injuries to the chest wall due to the blast. He underwent emergency surgery, including debridement for the left upper limb, and removal of multiple sharp objects from his body. He is currently on ventilator support, and his condition remains critical.
The second patient, aged 37, suffered from severe traumatic brain injury with multiple bilateral hemorrhagic contusions, along with grade III facial burns and upper body burns. This patient also had multiple laceration wounds on the body and is currently on ventilator support. His vitals are stable under the care of the neurosurgery and plastic surgery teams.
The third patient, aged 24, sustained lacerations on the left upper limb and mild brain injury. The patient is conscious, with stable vitals, and is under observation in the ICU.
"We are ensuring that all necessary treatments are being administered to the patients, and we will provide periodic updates," said Dr. M. Ravi Kiran, Chief Operating Officer, Medical Services, Yashoda Hospitals Hi-tech City.
