HYDERABAD: Tollywood actress Dimple Hayati, known recently for her roles in Gulf and Ramabanam, got into trouble by kicking the official vehicle of Traffic DCP Rahul Hegde and picking a fight with the latter’s driver at their apartment complex in Jubilee Hills of Hyderabad. The Jubilee Hills police on Monday registered a case against her and her friend Victor David under sections 353, 341 and 279 of the Indian Penal Code for damaging public property.
Hayati, a budding actress in Tollywood, is accused of causing trouble at the parking lot of the Huda Enclave where the Traffic DCP also resides. The police official’s vehicle is parked next to Hayati’s car in the cellar of the building. Trouble began for the DCP after the actress and her boyfriend allegedly started doing mischievous things like removing the cover of the police officer’s vehicle and disturbing the traffic cones that were kept around the vehicle.
As per the complaint of Rahul Hegde’s driver Chetan Kumar, the actress and her friend rammed their car into Rahul’s vehicle on May 14, 2023, damaging its front portion. Armed with the CCTV footage, Chetan confronted them but the actress, in a fit of rage, kicked the car of the official and created a ruckus. Following that incident, the driver lodged a complaint with the police.
It is reported that the actress refused to heed the advice of the DCP to change her attitude several times. The Jubilee Hills police summoned the actress and her friend David to the police station on Monday and served notices under Section 41 of CrPC.
