Town planning officer in ACB net for seeking Rs 50,000 bribe for building permission
ACB initiated the operation based on the complaint of V. Jithender Reddy. Jagan Mohan sought a bribe to issue building construction permission.
HYDERABAD: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Telangana has caught Jagan Mohan, the deputy director of Town & Country Planning in the office of the Directorate of Town & Country Planning Department, AC Guards, Hyderabad City Range Unit-1 at his office chamber when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs 50,000 from the complainant.
ACB initiated the operation based on the complaint of V. Jithender Reddy, a resident of Saraswathi Nagar, Chinthalakunta Check Post, LB Nagar, Jagan Mohan sought a bribe to issue building construction permission.
The bribe amount was recovered from the possession of the accused. Left-hand fingers of the accused and contact portion i.e. right side first drawer of Jagan Mohan's office table yielded positive results in the chemical test.
Jagan Mohan is arrested and produced before the principal special Judge for SPE and ACB cases court at Nampally, Hyderabad. The case is under investigation.
