Traffic advisory for Cancer Run-2023 in Cyberabad on Sunday

HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad Police issued a traffic advisory on Saturday, in connection with the Cancer Run-2023 between 5:30 am and 8:30 am on Sunday.

The event would take place on the Old Mumbai Highway for a span of 5 km from IIIT Junction to Lingampally, starting from Gachibowli Stadium to Gulmohar Park and returning to Gachibowli Stadium. The event involved a 21 km run, a 10km run and a 5 km run.

21 km run: Starts at 5-30 am at Gachibowli Stadium Gate No-2 – Masjid Banda T Junction – HCU RTC Depot T Junction– GHMC Serilingampally zonal office – Baby Hub – Gulmohar park. The participants would return to Gachibowli Stadium on the same route at 9 am.

10 km run: Starts at 6 am at Gachibowli Stadium Gate No-2 – Masjid Banda T Junction – HCU RTC Depot T Junction. – GHMC Serilingampally Zonal Office – Baby Hub – Gulmohar Park. The participants would return to Gachibowli Stadium on the same route at 9 am.

5 km run: Starts at 6:30 at Gachibowli Stadium Gate No-1 – Masjid Banda T Junction. – HCU Gate No.1. The participants would return to Gachibowli Stadium on the same route at 9 am.

To facilitate smooth conduct of the event, the following measures to regulate traffic at various places/junctions/roads need to be taken.

TRAFFIC DIVERSION:

• Traffic coming from ORR towards Lingampally would be diverted from Gachibowli Junction towards Kondapur - Radisson Hotel Junction - Botanical Garden Junction – Kothaguda – Kondapur – Hafeezpet Flyover – Allwyn X Road - Left turn - towards Lingampally.
• Traffic coming from Mehidipatnam towards Lingampally would be diverted from IIIT Junction towards WIPRO Jn – Right turn – Q City – Gowlidoddi – Gopanpally Tanda – Right turn – HCU back gate - towards Lingampally.
• Traffic coming from Lingampally towards Gachibowli would be diverted from Gulmohar Park Junction – Right turn – Nallagandla Flyover - Left turn - HCU Back gate – Gopanpally tanda – Left turn – Gowlidoddi – Q City – WIPRO Junction –Nanakramguda Rotary – left turn – towards Gachibowli Junction.

RESTRICTION OF HEAVY VEHICLES:

Heavy vehicles, i.e. trucks, lorries, DCMs, RMCs and water tankers, would not be allowed in Gachibowli on Sunday from 4:30 am to 10 am in view of Cancer Run on the following roads:

• Gachibowli Junction to Lingampally via IIIT Junction.
• Lingampally towards Gachibowli via HCU.
• Wipro Junction towards IIIT Junction.
• TSRTC officials should take steps accordingly to plan alternative routes for the buses which ply on the above routes from 5 am to 9 am.
