Traffic diversions for Telangana State Formation Day Celebration in Hyderabad
The traffic diversions and road closures will be lifted after the conclusion of the program
HYDERABAD: The city traffic police have imposed diversions on June 2, 2024, from 0000 hours to 2400 hours in connection with Telangana State Formation Day celebrations at Upper Tankbund, Hyderabad.
Diversion points
1. Nallagutta T Junction: Traffic coming from Minister’s Road intending to go towards Necklace Rotary (through the railway underpass) will be diverted towards Ranigunj Junction. Traffic from Ranigunj intending for Necklace Rotary will be diverted towards Minister’s Road.
2. Necklace Rotary: Traffic from VV Statue intending for Telugutalli will be diverted at Necklace Rotary towards Nallagutta.
3. Old PS Saifabad: Traffic heading from Old PS Saifabad towards Iqbal Minar will be diverted towards Ravindra Bharathi.
4. Telugu Thalli starting flyover: Traffic from Iqbal Minar towards Tankbund will be diverted at Telugu Thalli flyover towards the steel bridge. Traffic from Iqbal Minar towards Tankbund will be diverted at Mint Lane towards Necklace Rotary and Nallagutta.
5. Ambedkar Statue: Traffic from Liberty towards Upper Tankbund will be diverted at Ambedkar statue towards Telugu Thalli.
6. Liberty Junction: Traffic from Basheerbagh towards Upper Tankbund will be diverted at Liberty towards Himayathnagar. Traffic from Himayathnagar towards Upper Tankbund will be diverted at Liberty towards Basheerbagh.
7. Steel Bridge starting point (Azamabad X Road): Traffic from Azamabad X Road through Steel Bridge towards Kattamaisamma will be diverted at Steel Bridge starting point towards VST.
8. Indira Park X road: Traffic from Bandamaisamma X road and Ashok Nagar X road towards Kattamaisamma will be diverted at Indira Park X road towards Ashoknagar and AV College road.
9. Kavadiguda X Roads: Traffic from Kavadiguda towards Upper Tankbund will be diverted at Kavadiguda X Roads towards Bible House/DBR Mills.
10. DBR Mills: Traffic from Kattamaisamma towards Upper Tankbund will be diverted at DBR Mills towards Gosala.
11. CGO Towers: Traffic from Musheerabad towards Kawadiguda X road will be diverted at CGO Towers towards Ashok Nagar.
12. Karbala Junction: Traffic from Ranigunj towards Upper Tankbund will be diverted at Karbala Junction towards Bible House. Traffic from the Bible house towards Upper Tankbund will be diverted at Karbala towards Ranigunj.
13. Kattamaisamma: Traffic from Telugu Thalli flyover towards DBR Mills will be diverted at Kattamaisamma temple towards the steel bridge/Indira park junction.
Traffic congestion areas to be avoided:
From 0000 hours on June 1, 2024, to 2400 hours on June 2, 2024, citizens are advised to avoid the following junctions:
- Katta Maisamma
- Old Ambedkar Statue
- Telugu Thalli Junction
- Liberty
- Iqbal Minar
- Indira Gandhi Rotary
- VV Statue
- Karbala
- Old PS Saifabad
- Ravindra Bharathi.
Buses plying from Secunderabad towards Hyderabad on Upper Tankbund are requested to avoid Upper Tankbund and use Lower Tankbund from 0000 hours to 2400 hours on June 2, 2024.
Parking places for the general public:
General public attending the function are requested to park their vehicles at the following places:
- NTR Stadium
- Necklace Road to Sanjeevaiah Park
- GHMC Lane
- Secretariat South East Road Parking
- Secretariat North East Road Parking
- Racecourse Road Parking
- Amogham Parking
- Boats Club Parking.
After parking, the public are requested to walk to the venue at Tankbund from Old Ambedkar Statue, Sailing Club, or the steps near Goshala.
All citizens are urged to note the diversions and traffic congestion points and take alternate routes. The traffic diversions and road closures will be lifted after the conclusion of the program.
