TSRTC delegation discusses merger procedures with counterparts in AP

VIJAYAWADA: A delegation of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) officials on Tuesday called on their counterparts in Andhra Pradesh at RTC House in Vijayawada on Tuesday to study the procedure of merger of employees into government service.
A couple of days ago, the Telangana State Assembly passed the TSRTC (Absorption of Employees into Government Service) Bill 2023, after Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan gave her assent to table it before the House. With this, over 43,000 TSRTC employees would become Government employees.
Initially, the TSRTC Executive Directors S Krishna Kanth and PV Munni Sekhar and Chief Financial Manager Vijaya Pushpa Kumari participated in a meeting with Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) managing director Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao.
The APSRTC Executive Directors KS Brahmananda Reddy and P Krishna Mohan and Financial Advisor MV Raghava Reddy briefed the TSRTC officials delegation about benefits received by the APSRTC employees after the implementation of the APSRTC (Absorption of Employees into Government Service) Act, 2019.
Apart from that, discussions were also held by the Telangana and AP officials on employee's welfare, financial aspects and other aspects related to the merger into Government services.
